If I refuse to take a breathalyzer, is it evidence that can be used against me?

In Massachusetts, there can be no mention of the fact and the jury cannot be told that the operator refused to take a breathalyzer test.  Any reference or mention of such a fact is grounds for an immediate mistrial.
